Conditions as per Operating Schedule
No alcohol or tobacco products will ever be purchased from sellers calling at the premises.Exceptions to this condition would be purchases made from authorised representatives who have made prior appointments to visit the store.
All alcohol and tobacco products sold at the premises shall have the relevant UK duty paid Foreign tobacco which does not comply with relevant UK legislation shall not be stored /and or sold at the premises Invoices or copies of invoices for all Alcohol and tobacco purchases for sale at the premises will be retained and kept at the premises and made available to officers from all responsible authority upon .request
If any tobacco purchases made or on behalf of the business does not have UK Duty paid fiscal mark or are otherwise suspicious the licensee and/or designated premises supervisor shall notify the supplier to council trading standards and HMRC as soon as possible.
All persons involved in the sale of Alcohol who are not personal licence holders will receive initial and subsequent 6 monthly refresher training by the Designated Premises Supervisor or an appropriately accredited provider with regards to the law in relation to the sale of alcohol
This will be recorded in a staff training register and will include signature of the member of staff the DPS or an appropriately accredited training provider together with the date Training records will be maintained at the premises and made available to responsible authority on request.
The premises shall install and maintain a comprehensive CCTV system. All entry and exit points will be covered enabling frontal identification of every person entering in any light condition. The CCTV system shall continually record whilst the premises is open for licensable activities and during all times when customers remain on the premises.
All recordings shall be stored for a minimum period of 31 days with date and time stamping.
Viewing of recordings shall be made available immediately upon the request of a Responsible Authority officer throughout the entire 31 day period.
A staff member from the premises who is conversant with the operation of the CCTV system shall be on the premises at all times when the premises is open. This staff member must be able to provide a Responsible Authority officer copies of recent CCTV images or data 24hrs when requested, in line with current Data Protection legislation.
There shall be a personal licence holder on duty on the premises at all times when the premises are open for Licensable Activities.
All sales of alcohol for consumption off the premises shall be in sealed containers only, and shall not be consumed on the premises.
The Premises Licence Holder shall ensure that customer areas are well lit and kept free from obstruction at all times when the Premises is open to members of the public.
A Challenge 25 proof of age scheme shall be operated at the premises where the only acceptable forms of identification are recognised photographic identification cards, such as a driving licence, passport or proof of age card with the PASS Hologram.
The Premises Licence Holder will prominently display signage at the entrance to the Premises and at point of sale advising customers of the Challenge 25 proof of age scheme in operation at the Premises.
The Premises Licence Holder will prominently display signage at the entrance to the Premises and at point of sale advising that it is illegal to purchase alcohol on behalf of persons under the age of 18.
An incident log shall be kept at the premises, and made available on request to a Responsible Authority officer. It must be completed within 24 hours of the incident and will record the following:
all crimes reported to the venue;
any ejections of patrons;
any complaints received concerning crime and
disorder;
any incidents of disorder;
any faults in the CCTV system, searching
equipment or scanning equipment;
any refusal of the sale of alcohol; and
any visit by a relevant authority or emergency service.
Prior to undertaking any work at the Premises, paid or unpaid, the Premises Licence Holder shall undertake a right to work check on any prospective employee to make sure that he or she has the right to work in the UK. The
Premises Licence Holder will record this check in the Premises’ Right to Work register a copy of which shall be kept at the Premises and made available for inspection by a Responsible Authority officer on request.
A risk assessment will be carried out and updated on an annual basis.
Prominent signs wil be displayed requesting customers have regard for local residents when leaving the premises.
Adequate bins are available for customers to dispose of litter.
A challenge 25 policy will be adopted in order to reduce the potential for Underage sales age restricted products including alcohol. If a customer appears to be under 25 years of age and cannot prove that they are eligible to purchase the age restricted item including
alcohol with valid uk or Ireland photocard driving Licence a valid passport or pass accredited proof of age scheme card they will be refused service.
Challenge 25 posters will be displayed at the premises to reinforce this Policy Posters will be placed at each till and at the entrance to the shop.
Refusal register is to be kept at the premises to record each incident when a sale is refused.
The register will be kept at the premises unless requested by an officer of the RA The refusal register will be signed off by the DPS every 2 weeks.
