Licensing Objectives
Below are the additional steps that you have agreed to undertake to promote the four Licensing Objectives and which form a part of the operating schedule for these premises: -
General -
The company will operate the premises to ensure that attainment of the licensing objectives form an integral part of the management policies.
The prevention of crime and disorder -
Provision of digital hard drive CCTV with provision for up to 16 cameras to the interior of the premises. The system allows for photographic capture of a facial image of every person on entering the premises. Retrieval of images to be made available to a police officer or authorised officer from the licensing authority or other statutory agency.
Provision of Chubb alarm system.
To adopt the 'challenge 21' proof of age scheme and to recognise other forms of proof of age cards that carry the 'pass' hologram logo. To maintain a refusals book to be aware of the situation and to monitor by management supervision of adults who attempt to purchase alcohol on behalf of persons who are not 18. Any staff employed they will receive training regarding their legal obligations.
Public safety -
Provision of portable fire fighting equipment, and a means of altering persons on the first floor in the event of fire or emergency. Provide signed clear exit routes from the rear fire exits across the shared common access ensuring exit gates are readily opened. Ensure that the retail area is well lit and circulating areas are kept free of obstructions.
The prevention of public nuisance -
To ensure as far as possible by management supervision. That persons who have purchased alcohol from the premises for consumption off the premises do not consume the product in the immediate vicinity of the premises.
The protection of children from harm -
Not to admit more than 2 persons under the age of 18 to the premises at the same time unless they are accompanied by a responsible adult and to note that in addition to prevention of alcohol sales to young people, age checks are in place for tobacco sales. All posters supplied by NCC trading standards department will be displayed. The DPS recognises the challenge 21 proof of ID scheme.
